AYEEE!!

Hey loves!

I know, I know—it’s been a minute, right? Still, I wanted to come through and tap in. How have y’all been? Did you feel that shedding energy on 2/22? It was giving transformation, for real.

Let’s catch up. I’ve been in full-on hermit mode lately, deep in this transition. Honestly, I’m learning how to show up as my most authentic self—no matter the scenario. Let’s keep it a buck: as a Black woman, code-switching feels like it’s woven into my DNA. It’s that muscle memory, the autopilot mode. But here’s the thing—I don’t need it anymore. It’s wild, right? Peeling back those layers and choosing to be unapologetically me is both freeing and a little intimidating. But it’s necessary.

I’ve also realized that standing in my purpose doesn’t have to look like a grand, fixed destination. Purpose is fluid. It shifts and evolves, and it’s different for everyone. My purpose, I’ve come to understand, is simply to exist—and not just exist but to be present and soak in life’s delights and magic. It’s being a mom and navigating the beauty and chaos of parenting a teenager. It’s being a wife, loved and supported in ways that fill my cup. It’s showing up as a sister, a friend, drinking my tea, going to work, shopping, savoring good food—whatever I’m doing in that moment, that’s me living in my purpose.

To everyone stepping into their era of authenticity—especially while the world is watching—you are amazing. I am so proud of you. This journey isn’t always soft and sweet; sometimes, it requires gritty work. It asks for grace and love, especially toward yourself. And let’s not sugarcoat it—being your true self can create distance between you and others. It’s part of the process. While your spiritual self may understand the why, your physical self might still feel the sting of loss. With any ending or radical shift, there is grief. And that’s okay. Allow yourself to feel it all.

Happy Black History Month! This is a time to celebrate, reflect, and honor the rich legacy of our ancestors. One simple yet powerful ritual to connect with our roots is through an ancestral altar. You don’t need much—just a small space with a candle, a glass of water, and something meaningful to you (like a photo, crystal, or favorite herb). Take a moment each day to light the candle, speak a few words of gratitude, and invite guidance and protection from those who walked before us. This practice can ground you and serve as a reminder that you are never walking this journey alone.

Keep going. Keep growing. You are worthy of every bit of joy and alignment coming your way.

XoXo,

-Nue
